โข Circumscribed, atrophic, slightly depressed lesions on the anterior lower legs that are asymptomatic (Fig. 15-3).
โข They arise in crops and gradually resolve, but new lesions appear and occasionally may ulcerate.
โข The pathogenic significance of diabetic dermopathy remains to be established, but it is often accompanied by microangiopathy.
