定義
- 以手掌與手指掌側皺褶 (volar creases of palms and fingers) 處出現黃橙色 (yellow-orange)、扁平或隆起的浸潤為特徵。
診斷與鑑別
- 為家族性異常β脂蛋白血症 (FD，type III) 的特徵性 (pathognomonic) 表現。
- 除掌紋黃色瘤外，FD 亦可表現為結節性黃色瘤 (tuberous xanthoma) 與瞼黃斑瘤 (xanthelasma palpebrarum)。
併發症
- FD 患者易發生動脈粥狀硬化性心血管疾病 (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease)，尤其是下肢與冠狀血管的缺血 (ischemia)。
治療
- 對低脂肪、低碳水化合物飲食 (a diet low in fats and carbohydrates) 反應極佳。
- 必要時可加上 statins、fibrates 或 nicotinic acid 作為輔助。
