โข Localized inflammatory lesions in sites of cold exposure (Fig. 7-11).
โข More common in young to middle-aged women.
โข Single or multiple burning erythematous or purplish swellings on proximal fingers, toes, heels, nose, and ears; also on calves and thighs (e.g., often seen in bicycle or horseback riders).
โข Resolves in 2 to 3 weeks.
โข Management and prophylaxis: warm, loosely fitting clothes.
