โ€ข A delayed T-cellโ€“mediated reaction.
โ€ข Examples: ACD to ethylenediamine โ†’ subsequent reaction to aminophylline (which contains ethylenediamine); poison ivy dermatitis โ†’ subsequent reaction to ingestion of cashew nuts; also antibiotics, sulfonamides, propylene glycol, metal ions, sorbic acid, and fragrances.
